Today was a fun day. I spent much of it sweating under warm lights with a camera pointed at my face. (Which, as you’ll read in Good Eye, Bad Eye, is tough for me.)
Why did I submit to this … and why do I call this fun? Because I’m excited about the end product of today’s filming session. It will be part of the multimedia package you’re going to get with your paid subscription to this book. At various weeks during the serialization, I’ll download a video that amplifies the topic of that week’s chapter. You’ll receive it in your in-box, along with the weekly chapter.
One of the videos takes you on a journey along the nature therapy trail we’ve built on our land here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of South Carolina. Immersed in a forest bursting with springtime green, I’ll demonstrate four of my favorite ecotherapy exercises—simple earth-based practices you can do on your own.
The other video will give you a peek inside the room in my house where I practice yoga and Vipassana meditation. There I’ll share a quick lesson about one of the core Buddhist teachings that has guided me throughout my adult life.
I feel so fortunate that I was able to hire a professional filmmaker who takes great care in his work. Seth Williams of Fiddle Head Media House has a true talent for putting images, words, and music together to produce lovely films on a variety of subjects. I can’t wait to see what he’s going to create from today’s filming.
And I can’t wait to share these videos with you when the serialization of Good Eye, Bad Eye begins a month from now.
June 1, here we come!
Reminder: Only free subscriptions to “Good Eye, Bad Eye” are currently available. If you subscribe now, you’ll have access to all my posts throughout April and May. On June 1, when the first chapter of the book drops, I’ll open up the paid subscription option. At that time, if you upgrade your sub to paid, you’ll receive a new chapter each week. The serialization will span four months, June through September.
You're doing amazing work. And you look fabulous. I can't wait to receive the entire package in Good Eye, Bad Eye. I'm so psyched.
Loving this “behind the scenes” & I can’t wait to see this all unfold like the fiddlehead of a fern on one of your trails. 🌿
