This is such an exciting way to launch what will be an incredible book that will help many, many people who has lost sight in one eye. Thanks for an incredible innovative way to do this. I'll be subscribing on June 1. And I can't wait for our webinar about memoirs that include childhood.

That webinar is maybe the element I'm most excited about in this whole package!

That is going to be a great webinar. Heck, that alone is worth the cost of the entire experience.

I can't wait for this serialization to start! The book alone is great, but the additional webinars and videos are worth the cost of a subscription on their own. This is going to be a fascinating journey and a great learning experience for anyone who has experienced trauma firsthand or who is close to someone who has.

Are you adding an annual subscription option?

Yes, there'll be a $50 annual option (the lowest amount Substack allows for that) -- but I've always encouraged people to use the month-by-month option, which will add up to only $20 ... about the normal cost of a paperback. For anyone who chooses the $50 annual option, I'll be publishing a paperback after the serialization ends, and those people will receive a copy of that as a thank-you.

Wow, Substack has raised the minimum to $50 now? Interesting. (I think mine is $36. I figured how to get around that by offering a perpetual discount which I did for a while.)

Hmm, maybe I need to look into that! I structured this whole undertaking around what I thought was a fact: that Substack requires at least $5 for the monthly option and $50 for the annual option. I hadn't thought of a discount. I was already overwhelmed figuring out how to make this work within a certain amount of time so that it would cost $20 total.

I just went to my settings page and it let me change annual to $30. I think $30 is the lowest. $5 is the lowest for monthly. But, I have had it at $36 and then offered a 50% discount so it’s possible. That said, you’ve done an amazing job with this and my intent is not to make it harder for you!
